About Me

 Hey there! Thanks for stopping by my website—I’m Miguel, an actor and acoustic musician based in San Antonio.

Originally from Midland, Texas, my love for music started early. I spent hours playing keyboard in my bedroom, later picking up the French horn in middle and high school band. Around 17, I taught myself guitar, which led me to playing in my church choir. Singing didn’t come into the picture until my senior year of high school, but once I started, I never looked back.

After graduation, I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in San Antonio. While serving, I continued leading music at various parishes throughout the Archdiocese and became deeply involved in youth ministry, particularly retreat directing. Around that time, I also discovered a passion for theater, performing in my first musical, Jekyll & Hyde.

Following my separation from the Air Force in 2003, I pursued a B.A. in Music and an M.A. in Teaching at the University of the Incarnate Word. I spent 14 years as a high school choir director while continuing to perform on and off stage—where I truly fell in love with live music and theater.

I’m passionate about retreat ministry and love sharing my gifts with others. As a gay Catholic man, my faith plays a profound role in my life, and I enjoy engaging in open, meaningful conversations about it.
