HARMONIES OF HOPE Concert — May 3, 2026

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by, I’m Miguel, an actor and acoustic musician based in San Antonio.
I’m originally from Midland, Texas, where my love for music began early. I spent countless hours at the keyboard before picking up the French horn in middle and high school band. At 17, I taught myself guitar, which eventually led me to playing in my church choir. Singing didn’t come until my senior year of high school, but once I found my voice, I never looked back.
After graduating, I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in San Antonio. During my service, I continued sharing music in parishes across the Archdiocese and became deeply involved in youth ministry, especially retreat leadership. Around this time, I also discovered theater, stepping into my first musical, Jekyll & Hyde, and something clicked.
After leaving the Air Force in 2003, I pursued a B.A. in Music and an M.A. in Teaching at the University of the Incarnate Word. I went on to spend 14 years as a high school choir director, all while continuing to perform. Along the way, I fell in love with the energy and connection of live music and theatre.
Today, I’m passionate about retreat ministry and creating meaningful experiences through music and storytelling. As a gay Catholic man, my faith remains a central part of my life, and I value honest, thoughtful conversations around it.
I’d love the opportunity to share in your community’s journey—whether through music, ministry, or performance. If you’d like to connect, head over to the Contact tab and send me a message!
