Musician Services
Weddings and Quinceañeras
It is always an honor to be asked to provide music for special, once in a lifetime occasions! My rate for weddings and quinceañeras is $175. This includes all music required for a typical Catholic liturgy. Sometimes individuals request to have additional members join in music (a friend or family member who is also a musician). If this is the case, I do require a rehearsal with the individual. Each rehearsal is an additional charge of $35/hour.
Funerals, Rosaries, Wakes
I am always grateful for the opportunity to be part of something as meaningful and memorable as the celebration of a loved one's life. Please message me to discuss rates and details.
Choosing Music
The music for your service will depend on the location and officiant, as different parishes, churches, and ministers have varying levels of flexibility when it comes to musical choices. To avoid any last-minute surprises or stress, be sure to consult with your officiant before finalizing your selections.
I often remind my clients of this: you typically get two services in your life that are entirely about you—your wedding and your funeral. And you won’t be around to hear the music at your funeral! With that in mind, take your time choosing music that truly resonates with you.
There are countless options available, so find the songs that best fit your occasion, and I’ll do my very best to make your event as beautiful and memorable as possible.
Music Resources
Below are a few of the most common Catholic hymnals found in churches today. There are usually recordings of songs on YouTube or somewhere on the internet. If you hear something and would like it played a differently (faster, slower, more upbeat, less this way or that), feel free to let me know and I can make adjustments. Looking through these can be overwhelming! Tip: scroll to the bottom to find the Liturgical Index and list of hymns. (Note: if your officiant allows music outside of the traditional hymns, I can learn any song you'd like at no additional cost, given you provide the request well in advance.)
Speaking and Advocate Engagements
With a plethora of experience speaking to audiences large and small, I would be delighted to motivate and inspire your community. I am proficient in leading various size group discussions and engaging audiences of any age. My primary focus lies in Catholic teaching, sacraments, faith formation and ministry, as well as LGBTQ+ inclusion and the intersection of faith and sexuality.
As part of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am passionate about sharing my faith experiences, particularly the hardships that have accompanied my spirituality. Serving on the LGBTQ+ Initiative Team of the Marianist Social Justice Collaborative has allowed me to partake in various forms of ministry to those in the LGBTQIA+ family who have felt marginalized or unwelcome by the church. It is an honor for me to be the open arms of the church to these individuals and an example of God's agape love to them and their families through dialogue and introspection.
